Racket OEM & ODM: badminton, tennis and squash
Badminton, tennis and squash frames from one operation. The tables below are the moulds we run and the numbers they produce — balances, weights, tension ratings and moulding method — so you can see where our range actually sits before you ask whether a target specification is possible.
Badminton frames
Five models with published full specification. All five are 3U at 290 +/-5 mm balance and 675 +/-2 mm length — that is the band our current production sits in, stated plainly rather than implied to be broader than it is.
| Model | Weight | Balance | Max tension | Shaft | Moulding |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| STORM 90 | 3U (84 ±2 g) | 290 ±5 mm | 24 lbs | Soft (2/5) | One-piece |
| ARES 80 | 3U (85 ±2 g) | 290 ±5 mm | 28 lbs | Stiff (4/5) | One-piece |
| DARKNESS KING 6100 | 3U (85 ±2 g) | 290 ±5 mm | 27 lbs | Stiff (4/5) | Two-piece |
| N90II | 3U (87 ±2 g) | 290 ±5 mm | 30 lbs | Stiff (4/5) | 30T, two-piece |
| N90III | 3U (87 ±2 g) | 290 ±5 mm | 35 lbs | Stiff (5/5) | 40T, two-piece |
The 24-to-35 lb spread is bought with material and process, not with a label: the 24 lb frame is a one-piece layup, the 35 lb frame is 40T carbon in two pieces. If your programme needs a head-light balance or a 4U weight, that is a new layup and we quote it as development.

Tennis and squash frames
These platforms are where the weight range widens — squash runs from 130 g to 230 g, because a junior frame and a club frame are different products, not different paint.
| Category | Mould | Head size | Weight (unstrung) | Balance | Pattern |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Tennis | SUPER A6 / A8 | 102 sq.in | 320 ±5 g | 330 ±5 mm | 19 × 16 |
| Squash | Darkness 7 | 78 sq.in | 145 ±5 g | 365 ±5 mm | 19 × 12 |
| Squash | SILVER 130 | 76 sq.in | 130 ±5 g | 380 ±4 mm | 14 × 18 |
| Squash | FCSQ-01 | 76 sq.in | 230 ±5 g | 335 ±7 mm | 19 × 14 |
| Squash | FCSQ-02 (SQ102) | 74 sq.in | 198 ±5 g | 370 ±5 mm | 14 × 18 |
Tennis frames are 27 in, grip size G2, PU grip. Squash frames are 685 ±5 mm throughout; Darkness 7 and FCSQ-01 run a 20 mm beam and are rated to 35 lbs and 26 lbs respectively. Frame material runs from 100% carbon to carbon-and-aluminium composite, which is the main lever on both weight and price.

What a buyer can specify
Frame material
100% carbon, 30T or 40T carbon, or carbon-and-aluminium composite. This drives weight and price.
Moulding method
One-piece or two-piece. Two-piece with higher-grade carbon is how a frame reaches 30–35 lbs.
Weight and balance
Within the band each mould already runs. Outside it means a new layup, quoted as development.
Shaft stiffness
Soft to stiff, expressed 2/5 to 5/5 on the models currently in production.
String pattern and tension
Pattern per mould; maximum tension is a property of the frame, quoted with it.
Paint and decals
Colour matching to a reference, plus decals. A painted sample is approved before the run.
Grip and handle
Grip size, PU or towel grip, and the overgrip packed with the frame.
Packaging
Full cover, three-quarter cover, or bulk without cover for a distributor who bags locally.
MOQ, samples and lead time
A racket minimum is set by the paint run, not by the frame. Custom colour is the line item that moves it.
No tooling charge
A mould and colourway already in production is the shortest route, and the only case where a sample comes quickly.
Quoted as development
A weight, balance or stiffness outside the current band needs a new layup and often new tooling. Quoted with MOQ and lead time together.
Per colour
Each custom colour has its own paint setup. It is quoted per colour, which is why a two-colour programme prices differently from one.
Certification and testing
We do not hold a blanket certification for rackets, and we will not claim one. Testing is arranged to the buyer’s market: production samples from the actual run, material declarations, and the factory documentation a test house asks for.
How an order is inspected
Three checkpoints, all against the specification sheet you signed:
Frame and shaft
Incoming carbon and shaft blanks checked against the approved specification before moulding.
Weight and balance
Measured off the production line. A frame outside the tolerance band is pulled, not averaged into the batch.
Painted frames
Sample from packed cartons at the agreed AQL level; paint and decal checked against the approved sample.

Questions buyers ask before a sample
What is the minimum order for a racket?
300 pcs for a standard configuration: an existing mould, in a colour already running. Custom colour, grip configuration and packaging are what move it, and those are quoted per order. A new layup or a new frame profile is a development project, quoted separately.
Do you make all three racket sports on the same lines?
Yes. Badminton, tennis and squash frames run through the same moulding and finishing operation, which is why a buyer can put a badminton and a squash programme on one order and one inspection standard. The frame platforms are separate moulds, not a shared blank.
Why do all your badminton balances read 290 mm?
Because that is where our current production range sits. The five models we have fully specified — ARES 80, DARKNESS KING 6100, N90II, N90III and STORM 90 — are all 3U, 84 to 87 g, at 290 +/-5 mm. A head-light or head-heavy balance outside that band means a new weight distribution in the layup, which we quote as tooling plus development, not as an option.
What sets the tension rating apart?
The layup and the moulding process. STORM 90 is rated 24 lbs on a one-piece frame; N90III is rated 35 lbs on 40T carbon with two-piece moulding. The 24-to-35 lb spread across the range is a materials and process difference, not a label difference.
Can you paint and brand a frame we designed?
Yes. Paint, decals and branding are done after moulding. Send the artwork as vector with the colour references; we return a painted sample before the production run.
