OEM & ODM: what we manufacture, by category
FANGCAN has built sports goods for other brands since 1992. This page is the index: four product families, the moulds that already exist in each, and the pages that carry the real specifications. If you are sourcing across more than one category, this is the page to read first.
The four families
| Family | What we make | Where the detail is |
|---|---|---|
| Rackets | Badminton, tennis and squash rackets; carbon, composite and aluminium frames | Racket OEM |

| Strings | Badminton 0.66–0.72 mm, squash 1.20 mm, tennis 1.25–1.35 mm | String OEM |
| Grips and accessories | Overgrips, replacement grips, socks and small accessories | Grip OEM |

Packaging compliance for EU buyers
PPWR, Regulation (EU) 2025/40, has applied since 12 August 2026. Packaging placed on the EU market now needs a technical file and a signed declaration of conformity, and the data behind both has to come from the factory. We issue the packaging BOM, the material weights and the heavy-metal test reports for the SKUs we produce. What we hand over, and what stays with you.
Product certification, by market
A racket needs no CE marking — no directive covers one. What blocks a first EU shipment is a name and an address inside the EU; what blocks a US tournament paddle is a listing on the USA Pickleball approved list. Both are set out market by market: what applies where, and which parts of the file we can fill.
Landed cost, before you price the first order
An FOB quotation is four lines short of what the goods cost you: duty, import VAT, freight and clearance. Import VAT is charged on goods value plus duty plus freight, not on the goods value alone — and that is usually where a first-order margin goes. How the four lines work, and where buyers get them wrong.
What we will not claim
We do not hold a blanket certification across these categories, and we will not claim one. On MOQ we do publish base figures — 300 pcs for rackets, 500 pcs for strings, 5,000 pcs for overgrips — because a buyer needs a number to plan against. What we will not do is give one figure and pretend it covers every configuration: custom colour, print and packing move it, and those are quoted per order.
Questions buyers ask before a first order
How long does a sample take, and is the sample fee refundable?
7 to 15 days from confirmed specification and artwork. Where a new mould has to be cut first, the tooling time comes on top and is quoted with the tooling. The sample fee, and any tooling charge, are credited against the goods value when you place a production order for the same model.
What are your payment terms?
70% T/T in advance, the remaining 30% before shipment. We also accept an L/C at sight.
What inspection standard do you work to?
The one you specify. The AQL level is agreed with the buyer before production rather than fixed by us — name the level you use and it goes into the order and into the pre-shipment check.
How long is a quotation valid?
30 days from the date of issue.
Who owns the mould if we pay for the tooling?
The buyer. Where the tooling is paid for by the buyer, the mould belongs to the buyer, and we hand it over on request. Tooling we pay for stays with us.
What are your trade terms, and which port?
FOB Xiamen. That is the term we quote against. If you consolidate cargo from several suppliers, tell us at brief stage so the carton marks and the shipping dates line up.
Can a first order ship LCL, or by air or courier?
Any of them. Sea freight LCL or FCL, air freight, express courier, or consolidation through your forwarder. A first trial order usually goes LCL or air. Tell us the destination and the first-run quantity and we will tell you which of these that volume actually supports.
Can we visit or audit the factory?
Yes. Buyers, and inspectors you nominate, are welcome at both production bases — Shishi and Xiamen. Send the dates and the scope you want to cover, and we will line up the walk-through and the records you asked for.
Do you hold certifications covering these product families?
No. We do not hold a blanket certification across these categories, and we will not imply one. Testing is a project-level step: it is arranged to the market you sell into, and the scope is agreed before production starts.
What is your minimum order quantity?
Three base figures: 300 pcs for rackets, 500 pcs for strings, 5,000 pcs for overgrips — a standard configuration, existing mould, colour already running. Everything else is quoted per SKU, because the workable minimum moves with the mould, the colour count, the print method and the packing.
How does a project actually start?
Five steps. You send a brief: category, mould reference or new tooling, target specification, quantity and market. We reply with a specification sheet. Then a quotation: unit price by quantity break, tooling if needed, MOQ for that configuration, lead time. Then a sample — straight from an existing mould, or after tooling. Then production, inspection against the agreed specification, and shipment.
Will you quote a price before the specification is fixed?
No. The specification sheet comes first — the dimensions and tolerances we would actually build to. A price quoted without a fixed specification is not comparable with anyone else’s price, and it is the number that gets revised later.
What can you make without opening a new mould?
Four families already have tooling: badminton, tennis and squash rackets; pickleball paddles in four existing moulds; strings from 0.66–0.72 mm (badminton), 1.20 mm (squash) and 1.25–1.35 mm (tennis); and overgrips, replacement grips and small accessories. A new frame profile or paddle shape means new tooling, which is quoted separately.
