Badminton String OEM & ODM Manufacturing
Five badminton constructions, 0.66 mm to 0.72 mm, in 200 m reels and 10 m sets. The gauges and tension ratings below are the ones we produce, and they are the first thing a serious buyer checks — so they are stated here rather than hidden in a PDF.
What is in production now
| Model | Gauge | Construction | Tension rating | Colours in production |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| BG66 | 0.66 mm | Multifilament, coated | 22–24 lbs | Black, yellow, blue, green, white |
| BG95 | 0.68 mm | Oval monofilament, double-elastic | 26–30 lbs | White, black, yellow, purple |
| BG85 | 0.69 mm | Oval monofilament, double-elastic | 26–28 lbs | White, black, blue, fluorescent yellow |
| BG2009 | 0.69 mm | Nylon | 26–30 lbs | Neon yellow, beige, red, purple, white |
| BG2006 | 0.72 mm | Nylon | 22–26 lbs | Blue, white, orange, black |
Thinner gauge means more repulsion and less durability; thicker means the reverse. BG66 at 0.66 mm is the control-oriented end of the range, BG2006 at 0.72 mm the durability end. That is the trade a buyer is actually choosing between, and it is why we list gauge first and marketing names second.

The same lines run four string categories
String is one production discipline with four outputs, so a buyer consolidating suppliers can take badminton, tennis and squash from one order:
| Category | Gauge range in production | Typical construction |
|---|---|---|
| Badminton | 0.66 – 0.72 mm | Multifilament or oval monofilament, coated |
| Squash | 1.20 mm | Multifilament, semi-gut feel |
| Tennis | 1.25 – 1.35 mm | Polyester monofilament, round or rough |
| Racket (general) | Per model | Nylon or polyester monofilament |
One order, one inspection standard, one shipment. For a distributor this is usually worth more than a marginally lower unit price from three different factories.
What a buyer can specify
Gauge
Any of the five production gauges as standard. A new gauge is development, quoted separately.
Construction
Nylon monofilament, oval monofilament, or multifilament with coating.
Colour
Production colourways, or a matched shade quoted against the run size for that colour.
Format
200 m reel, 10 m set, or a retail set with a sleeve.
Brand on the reel
Reel print, reel label, sleeve and box artwork. Your brand, not ours.
Tension rating
Stated per construction. We confirm it against the frame you are targeting.
MOQ, samples and lead time
A string minimum order is set by the coating run and the reel printing, not by length. Two things move it: whether the colour already runs, and whether the reel carries your print.
Shortest route
A production colourway on a standard reel is the fastest order and the only one where a sample comes off stock.
Coating run
A matched shade needs its own coating run. MOQ and lead time are quoted with it, and the figure is per colour.
Print and packing
Reel print and label add a separate setup. Quoted together with the string so the total is visible.
Certification and testing
We do not hold a blanket certification for string, and we will not claim one. Testing is arranged to the buyer’s market: production samples from the actual run, material declarations, and the factory documentation a test house requires. If your market needs a specific scheme, name it in the brief.
How an order is inspected
Three checkpoints, all at the factory, all against the specification sheet you signed. Nothing here depends on us inspecting our own work and telling you it passed:
Materials
Face sheet, core block and edge guard are sample-checked against the approved specification before the run starts.
Weight and balance
Measured off the production line, not off a sample bench. A line that drifts gets stopped, not averaged.
Packed cartons
Sample drawn from packed cartons at the agreed AQL level. The measurement sheet and photographs travel with the shipment.
If you use a third-party inspection company, we schedule it. Name it in the brief so the date sits inside the production plan rather than after it.

Questions buyers ask before a sample
What is the minimum order for a string?
500 pcs for a standard configuration: a colour already running, standard reel or set. A custom shade adds a coating run and reel printing adds a print setup, both quoted per order.
What gauge range can you produce?
Our badminton strings currently run from 0.66 mm to 0.72 mm, across five models: BG66 at 0.66 mm, BG95 at 0.68 mm, BG85 and BG2009 at 0.69 mm, and BG2006 at 0.72 mm. A gauge outside that set is a new construction, not a new label, and we quote it as development.
Is the tension rating the string’s limit or the racket’s?
It is the string’s. BG66 is rated 22–24 lbs, BG2006 22–26 lbs, BG85 26–28 lbs, and BG95 and BG2009 26–30 lbs. These are the tensions the construction is built to take, independent of the frame. A buyer specifying a high-tension line for a frame that cannot hold it is buying warranty claims, so we ask for the frame spec too.
Reel or set?
Both. 200 m reels and 10 m sets are standard for badminton. A 200 m reel is roughly twenty restrings at 10 m each, which is why stringers buy reels and brands buy sets for retail.
Can the reel carry our brand?
Yes. Reel printing, reel label, set sleeve and box artwork are all part of the order. Colour is a bill-of-materials decision on coated constructions, so a custom shade is quoted against the run size for that colour.
