Material of Tennis Strings:
There are four main types of tennis strings: natural gut, nylon, polyester, and aramid fibers.
For non-professional players who need to consider cost, natural gut is generally not an option. Nylon is a synthetic material designed to mimic the performance of natural gut and is currently the most popular choice among tennis enthusiasts.
Polyester strings, commonly known as “hard strings,” have the advantage of requiring no frequent adjustment, being resistant to breaking, and offering good durability.
You can choose tennis strings based on your actual needs. If you are a power player who tends to break newly strung strings after just a few matches, it is recommended to use polyester strings for the mains to improve durability, and softer strings for the crosses to provide feel and spin.
